The maison
A house built around restraint
Maison Velour was founded on a simple refusal: to make a fragrance smaller so it could be made larger. Every formula here has stayed exactly as strange, as expensive, and as considered as the day it was composed.
The perfumer
Trained in Grasse and unwilling to compromise since, our founding perfumer composes every Velour formula alone, in a single small atelier, using absolutes most houses have abandoned for cost.
The process
Each fragrance rests in glass for a minimum of four months before release, a step most modern perfumery skips entirely. The wait changes the scent — and we think it's the whole point.
The batches
We release once a season, in small numbered batches. When a batch sells out, it is gone — we have never reformulated a scent to make it cheaper to produce.
